Overview
The IEEE Power & Energy Society Student Branch Chapter of LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod, in association with IEEE PES Kerala Chapter, successfully organised the photography initiative "The Energy Around Me" as part of IEEE PES Day 2026. The event encouraged participants to capture and showcase real-world energy infrastructure, such as transformers, substations, transmission lines, and solar panels, through photography. The initiative aimed to promote awareness about power and energy systems while encouraging creativity and technical observation among students. The event received enthusiastic participation and successfully highlighted the importance of energy infrastructure in everyday life.
