Overview
IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter of LBS College of Engineering, in collaboration with IEEE IES, organized a Spectrum Talk Session on "AI Powered Smart Grids" to introduce students to the growing application of Artificial Intelligence in modern power systems. The session was led by Mr. Nitish Nayak and focused on the role of AI and intelligent technologies in improving the performance and efficiency of electrical grids. Key areas including load forecasting, predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and automation were discussed during the session. The talk provided students with an understanding of how emerging technologies can be integrated with conventional power systems to develop smarter and more efficient grids. The interactive session encouraged students from different departments to participate, exchange ideas, and explore the possibilities of AI in the energy sector.
