WOMEN OF WISDOM (WOW 5.0) – TECH TALK SERIES: Integrating EV with Smart Charging for Sustainable Development

Overview

IEEE PES Kerala Chapter, in association with IEEE Women in Power Kerala, IEEE WIE AG Kerala Section and IEEE PES SBC LBSCEK, conducted the fifth session of Women of Wisdom (WOW 5.0) – Tech Talk Series on the topic “Integrating EV with Smart Charging for Sustainable Development” through GMeet on 23/09/24 at 7:30 pm. The webinar began with queries about EV, through which the attendees were able to learn more about EV, including its issues, challenges, opportunities and benefits. The speaker highlighted the classification and types of EV, enhancing the listeners' knowledge about EV. The webinar focused on EV specifications and comparison of existing charging levels with smart charging. A video reference on EV charging was also shown during the session. The speaker shared personal experiences from a foreign EV expo. A panel of experts engaged in a discussion addressing questions from attendees, making the session more interactive. The webinar provided insights into EVs and smart charging techniques for sustainable development
