World Environment Day Celebration 2026
A multi-chapter collaboration bringing environmental awareness, a drawing competition, and tree planting to 65 students at Muliyar Mappila U.P. School.
Overview
IEEE PES Kerala Section – Malabar Region, in collaboration with IEEE SB LBSCEK, IEEE SB MESCE, IEEE SB KMCT CE, and IEEE SB COET, successfully organized a World Environment Day Celebration on 5 June 2026 at Muliyar Mappila U.P. School, Kasaragod. The program aimed to create environmental awareness among young students and encourage sustainable practices through engaging and interactive activities. The event featured an Environmental Awareness Session conducted by Ms. Amidha Bhanu V V, a student of MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram, followed by a Drawing and Colouring Competition for the students. The winners of the competition were awarded prizes, and a memento was presented to Headmistress Ms. Lasitha N.K. by Dr. Baby Sindhu A.V. and Dr. Rajashree Raghavan in appreciation of the school's support and cooperation. A tree-planting activity was also conducted within the school premises as a symbol of commitment towards environmental conservation.
Participation
65 students actively participated. Drawing competition winners were awarded prizes; a memento was presented to the school's Headmistress.
